Search Tips

The Simple Search box at the top right corner of your screen will allow you to conduct keyword searches of all material and information within the digital archive. For optimal search results please consider the following tips:

1. Words entered into the Simple Search box will generate results that include any and all instances of that word.

EXAMPLE: "25 South Street" will yield results that have either the word "South" OR the word "Street"

2. Any words under 3 characters or letters will not be searched.

EXAMPLE: "25 South Street" will yield results that have either the word "South" OR the word "Street", but "25" will not affect the search results.

3. To use Boolean operators such as AND, OR, or NOT, use the Advanced Search option located below the Simple Search box. This will enable you to search specific fields by keyword with the qualifiers 'contains', 'does not contain', 'is exactly', 'is empty', or 'is not empty'. It will also allow you to ignore tip #2 and include words under 3 characters or letters within the search.

EXAMPLE: "25 South Street" entered as in the image below will yield results containing all of the terms in "25 South Street", but not results which contain only some of these terms.
